Tour and Day Trip Transfers in Guanacaste
A tour transfer is not a drop-off. The driver stays with the vehicle while you are at the waterfall, the volcano or the beach, and takes you on to the next stop and home again. That is the whole difference: your luggage, your cooler and your dry clothes stay in the van, and you are not negotiating a ride back at four in the afternoon.
Guana shuttle were very professional. They stick by the timing, ensure safe travels and drivers are polite and courteous.
Who this is for
- Day trips to Rincón de la Vieja, Arenal or Río Celeste
- Multi-stop days combining two or three places
- Families who do not want to drive rural roads themselves
- Groups who want one vehicle for the whole day rather than separate bookings
What it costs
Day trips are quoted per itinerary because the waiting time and the number of stops vary. Send us your list of stops and the date for a fixed price.
How it works
- 1
Tell us the stops and the day
List the places you want to see and roughly how long at each. We will tell you what fits comfortably in a day.
- 2
We quote the day, not the kilometre
You get one fixed price covering the driving and the waiting time.
- 3
The driver stays with you
Between stops the vehicle waits, so your things stay with you and there is no second booking to arrange.
Before you message us
The five things travellers ask before they book.
- How do I pay?
- Cash when you board, or PayPal in advance (a 13% tax applies to PayPal payments). No deposit required for cash bookings.
- What if my flight is delayed?
- We track your flight with the number you give us and adjust to your real arrival time. Delays are on us, not you.
- Do you have car seats for kids?
- Yes, on request at no charge. Costa Rican law doesn't require them for this type of transport, but we're happy to provide one — just mention it when you book.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Two days ahead is ideal, especially in high season. We take last-minute bookings whenever we have a vehicle available, so it never hurts to ask.
- Where do I meet the driver?
- Right outside the arrivals exit. Your driver will be holding a sign with your name.

I enjoyed a very efficient and friendly transit between the JW Marriott in Guanacaste and the airport in Liberia …. The driver arrived timely and was excellent and very helpful. I felt completely safe and my luggage was treated gently. I definitely plan on using the Guana Shuttle Service again the next time I visit! Highest Recommendation!!

Reliable, safe and punctual. We arrived in Liberia, immediately met by our driver with our name on a card. Their communication was clear, I would recommend this company for your private shuttle needs!

Questions about tour transfers
Does the driver wait while we are at the tour?
Yes. On a tour transfer the vehicle and driver stay with you for the day rather than dropping you off and leaving.
Can we visit more than one place in a day?
Yes. Send us the stops you have in mind and we will tell you what fits comfortably and quote the whole day.
Can you also arrange transport for a wedding or an event?
Yes. We provide transport for weddings, business trips, medical appointments, day tours and beach trips.
