Private Airport Transfers in Guanacaste

A private transfer means you and the people you are travelling with are the only passengers in the vehicle. You leave when you land, not when a schedule says so, and the price is for the vehicle rather than per head — which is why a family of four almost always pays less privately than on a shared shuttle.

Guana shuttle were very professional. They stick by the timing, ensure safe travels and drivers are polite and courteous.

Who this is for

  • Families and groups of three or more, where per-vehicle pricing wins
  • Travellers arriving late at night or on delayed flights
  • Anyone carrying surfboards, golf clubs or more luggage than a shared van allows
  • Guests going to a villa or rental rather than a resort with a shuttle desk

What it costs

Private transfers start at $70 and are quoted per vehicle for up to 4 passengers, with an additional per-person rate above that. See any destination page for its exact price.

How it works

  1. 1

    Send your route and dates

Message us with your pickup point, destination, date and passenger count. We reply with a fixed price for the whole vehicle.

  2. 2

    Confirm with your flight number

Send the flight number and we schedule your pickup around your arrival time.

  3. 3

    Meet your driver at arrivals

Your driver waits outside the arrivals gate holding a sign with your name, then takes you straight to your door.

Before you message us

The five things travellers ask before they book.

How do I pay?
Cash when you board, or PayPal in advance (a 13% tax applies to PayPal payments). No deposit required for cash bookings.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight with the number you give us and adjust to your real arrival time. Delays are on us, not you.
Do you have car seats for kids?
Yes, on request at no charge. Costa Rican law doesn't require them for this type of transport, but we're happy to provide one — just mention it when you book.
How far in advance should I book?
Two days ahead is ideal, especially in high season. We take last-minute bookings whenever we have a vehicle available, so it never hurts to ask.
Where do I meet the driver?
Right outside the arrivals exit. Your driver will be holding a sign with your name.

  • I enjoyed a very efficient and friendly transit between the JW Marriott in Guanacaste and the airport in Liberia …. The driver arrived timely and was excellent and very helpful. I felt completely safe and my luggage was treated gently. I definitely plan on using the Guana Shuttle Service again the next time I visit! Highest Recommendation!!

Questions about private transfers

Is the price per vehicle or per person?

Private transfers are per vehicle; shared shuttles are per person.

How many people fit in one vehicle?

Prices cover up to 4 passengers. Above that we use a minivan seating 4–10 passengers, with a per-person rate for each additional traveller.

Will anyone else be in the vehicle?

No. You and your travel companions are the only passengers, and you go straight to your destination unless you ask for a stop.
