Shared Shuttles from Liberia Airport
A shared shuttle puts you in a vehicle with other travellers heading the same way, on a set departure rather than one built around your flight. It is priced per person instead of per vehicle, so it is the cheaper option for one or two travellers and stops being cheaper as your group grows.
Will absolutely use again on my next trip.
Who this is for
- Solo travellers and couples watching the budget
- Flexible arrivals who can wait for a scheduled departure
- Travellers with standard luggage and no boards or bulky equipment
What it costs
Shared shuttles are quoted per person and depend on the route and the departure. Message us for the current rate and availability — we have not published a fixed shared price list.
How it works
- 1
Tell us your route and how many of you
Message us with your destination, date and passenger count and we will tell you whether a shared departure is running and what it costs per person.
- 2
We compare it against the private price
If your group is large enough that the private vehicle costs less, we will say so rather than sell you the shared seats.
- 3
Confirm your seats
Once you confirm, we send the departure time and the meeting point.
Before you message us
The five things travellers ask before they book.
- How do I pay?
- Cash when you board, or PayPal in advance (a 13% tax applies to PayPal payments). No deposit required for cash bookings.
- What if my flight is delayed?
- We track your flight with the number you give us and adjust to your real arrival time. Delays are on us, not you.
- Do you have car seats for kids?
- Yes, on request at no charge. Costa Rican law doesn't require them for this type of transport, but we're happy to provide one — just mention it when you book.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Two days ahead is ideal, especially in high season. We take last-minute bookings whenever we have a vehicle available, so it never hurts to ask.
- Where do I meet the driver?
- Right outside the arrivals exit. Your driver will be holding a sign with your name.

I enjoyed a very efficient and friendly transit between the JW Marriott in Guanacaste and the airport in Liberia …. The driver arrived timely and was excellent and very helpful. I felt completely safe and my luggage was treated gently. I definitely plan on using the Guana Shuttle Service again the next time I visit! Highest Recommendation!!

Reliable, safe and punctual. We arrived in Liberia, immediately met by our driver with our name on a card. Their communication was clear, I would recommend this company for your private shuttle needs!

Questions about shared shuttles
How is a shared shuttle priced?
Per person, unlike private transfers which are priced per vehicle.
When is a private transfer cheaper than a shared shuttle?
Once your group is large enough that the per-person total passes the fixed vehicle price. Send us your group size and we will compare both for your route.
Do shared shuttles wait for a delayed flight?
Shared departures run to a schedule. If your arrival time is uncertain, a private transfer is the safer choice.
